Quit making Youth Ministry so complicated

Success in Youth Ministry is not determined by how many students show up on a Wednesday night.

Success in Youth Ministry is not determined by how many projectors your Youth Room has (or even if you have a Youth Room).

Success in Youth Ministry is not determined by how many small group leaders you have.

Success in Youth Ministry is not determined by the quality of games you play.

Success in Youth Ministry is not determined by the quality of graphics you use.

Success in Youth Ministry can be found by answering one question:

Are you making Disciples of Jesus Christ that make disciples of Jesus Christ?

Quit making it so complicated and just minister to the students that God has placed in your flock.

Preach it, dude. Shortest youth ministry article that packs a TON of punch. Now if only this would truly captivate our hearts as Youth Pastors…

    Yup!

  3. Pastor T says:

Amen! I wish our church members would have the same mentality. I personally feel more pressure from the congregation to “perform” rather than God’s spirit who tells me to disciple.

  4. Marco Garza says:

    Amen!

  6. It feels like your downplaying the value of pursuing success to the goal you named? DId you mean to? hit me back ben!

    1. Ben Read says:

What do you mean David? Maybe i’m just tired, but im not fully registering the question, haha, sorry.

  7. Paul Coonrod says:

Make a disciple. How many miles did Jesus walk with His disciples? How many journeys? how many meals? How many impossible things did He ask His disciples to do? All you need to do is take a walk.
